Brian Linville is Watkins Meegan’s Director of Quality Control.  He has been with the firm since 2002 and has more than 15 years of experience in auditing, accounting, tax and consulting engagements with not-for-profit organizations, professional service firms, retirement plans, construction and real estate firms, manufacturers and government contractors.  Brian’s responsibilities have included developing audit plans, managing staff to effectively implement those plans, scheduling and directing staff assignments. He also has recommended and prepared audit opinions based on audit results, prepared and presented recommendations for internal control and operational improvements, and presented deliverables to senior management and boards of directors.

As part of his duties overseeing the firm’s quality control, Brian is responsible for pre-issuance review of financial statements and attestation engagements, as well as assessment of financial statement disclosures and resolution of accounting issues. He also coordinates the firm’s peer review, which is conducted every three years by an independent public accounting firm, and he is qualified to conduct peer reviews for the American Institute of Certified Public Accounting’s (AICPA) Peer Review Program.

Brian has specific experience with the airport industry through internal audit type engagements to various airport operations and contracts, including rental car concession, parking, retail concession management, internal accounting and customer contract fees.  He also has significant experience in retirement plan audits, specifically defined-contribution and defined-benefit plans.   As a Manager in two regional accounting firms before joining Watkins Meegan, Brian gained experience performing a variety of accounting services.
