Dave Gaver is a Director in the firm’s Government Contracting and Technology Group and has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial management. Since joining Watkins Meegan in 2005, he has focused on managing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, including employee pension plans across a variety of industries, such as government contracting, restaurant services and technology. Dave is proficient in using IDEA data extraction software to efficiently analyze large amounts of data, and he directs the firm’s internal IDEA team. He has significant experience with reporting software, including FRx and Crystal Reports.
Prior to joining the firm, Dave was vice president and controller for a nationally known survey and marketing research firm for more than 18 years. He played a key role in the company’s international expansion and facilitated compliance and tax reporting internationally. He successfully built an accounting staff of 13 professionals and managed all accounting activities in the United States and abroad. Dave also implemented several Microsoft SQL-based accounting software systems, including Epicor’s Financials Suite and Star System Solutions’ Project Accounting.
