David Greaves is a Manager in Watkins Meegan’s Construction Industry Group. He has more than 14 years of accounting experience with a focus on audit and tax services. In his current role at Watkins Meegan, he manages financial statement audit, review, and compilation engagements in the construction and real estate industries. As an audit manager, Mr. Greaves plans each audit, conducts preliminary fieldwork, supervises staff, and finalizes all aspects of the audit. Prior to joining Watkins Meegan, Mr. Greaves served in a variety of accounting positions with a large regional public accounting firm.
Mr. Greaves also prepares corporate and individual tax returns and amended tax returns, calculates tax provisions and conducts detailed reviews of tax returns and complex income/loss allocations. In addition, he has developed a real estate audit program and numerous work papers. As part of his managerial role, he teaches Continuing Professional Education courses on topics such as real estate acquisition, HUD filings and legislation, and staff supervision and evaluation.
