Ms. Wendler is a Manager in the Government Contracting and Technology Group and has over seventeen years of experience in accounting and finance. She specializes in auditing and is uniquely skilled in fuel facility audits. She spent eight years on the finance staff of a publicly traded, multi-national technology and defense company as manager of pension fund investments and as the corporate cash manager. She has also worked in the trust department of a money center bank where she specialized in providing employee benefit trust services. Since joining Watkins Meegan in 2007, she has managed a variety of financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, including the U.S. subsidiaries of European firms reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards and employee benefit plans.
Through her practice experience, Ms. Wendler has gained knowledge in the specialized areas of government contracting, airport fuel facility consortia accounting and taxation, IFRS for Small and Medium-Sized Entities, and Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plans. With this knowledge, she has become an expert in fuel facility audits. She works with clients to ensure correct measurements are made and keeps them compliant with tax laws.
Ms. Wendler trains new staff as part of her management responsibilities with the firm and acts as a continuing professional education teacher for Watkins Meegan. Her role extends beyond that of an auditor.
