Ms. Soles joined Watkins Meegan LLC in 1998 and currently serves as a Member in the Government Contracting & Technology Group. She provides an extensive range of advisory services for government contractors, including FAR/CAS compliance, indirect cost rate structures, cost reporting, and final incurred cost proposals. Through her prior experience as a management-level contractor for the Department of Defense, Ms. Soles acquired working knowledge of DOD compliance, allocability and allowability issues, disclosure statement requirements, GSA schedules, and DCAA audits.

Ms. Soles works with information technology government contractors, as well as telecommunications and high-tech clients. In addition, she consults on IR&D and software development costing, ASC 985-20 (formerly SOP 97-2,) accounting software implementation, and contract closeouts. She also consults on revenue recognition methodologies per ASC 605-35-25-82 (SOP 81-1.)  She is an expert in Deltek GCS Premier and well versed in Costpoint accounting packages, as well as OptionEase and Equity Edge stock-based management and reporting software.  She continues to perform Deltek GCS and Time Collection implementations and consulting.

Ms. Soles has been outsourced as a controller to various clients where she has managed staff and prepared internal consolidated financial statements, budgets, indirect cost rate submissions, and departmental income statements. She performed analysis on monthly pool rates and monitored job cost status and burn rates for various types of contracts. She has also established procedures for monitoring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for publicly held companies. Ms. Soles performs implementations of stock-based compensation software, consults on option valuation methodology, and assists clients in preparing auditable equity calculations and disclosures. In addition, Ms. Soles supervises and trains staff on audit and review engagements as part of her management responsibilities as a Director in the firm. She also performs government contracting compliance due diligence support for mergers and acquisitions.  She frequently teaches on various government contracting issues both for the firm as well as outside groups and runs the groups monthly lunch and learn sessions.
