Seth Cohen joined Watkins Meegan in 2002 and is a Manager in the firm’s Construction and Real Estate Industry Group. He has experience performing various aspects of the Group’s financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, and federal and state income tax work. He does hands on work with his clients in providing financial assurance services to general contractors, subcontractors, land developers, residential home developers, large public companies, various other commercial clients, and individuals.
Seth specializes in designing and implementing employee benefit plans and performing audits of employee benefit plans under specifications set forth by the Department of Labor (DOL) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He has experience with the required format and disclosures required by the DOL and IRS, and has attended the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) National Conference on Employee Benefit Plans. Seth’s pension auditing experience includes performing limited scope and full scope audits for plans with assets ranging from $1 million to more than $100 million and consulting with his clients on various aspects of their benefit plans.
Seth is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, which requires him to annually obtain training and pass rigorous examinations. Through his QuickBooks expertise, Seth performs and oversees his staff responsible for performing bookkeeping services for clients (users of both QuickBooks and other software) with annual revenues between $100,000 and $20 million.
