Watkins Meegan LLC (Watkins Meegan), a top ten Washington Metropolitan regional CPA firm, wins the 2011 American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (AWSCPA) Innovation in Women’s Programming Award. The award, which recognizes a firm that is continually developing new and innovative programs to promote and support women in the accounting profession, was presented during the 2011 Annual Conference for Women in Accounting in Charlotte, NC.
Winning this award came at the perfect time for Watkins Meegan as the firm recently held its first “WOW” (Women of Watkins) event and recently promoted another woman to become a Member of the firm.
